The scent of musk has for centuries been used and has been valued for its pleasant sweet, earthy and woodsy scent. Today, the Arabian Perfume industry uses this fragrance quite frequently to develop their various products.
Here’s why!
People choose fragrances for their scents. For instance, someone can choose a citrus-based scent for mood enhancement, while another may pick a more earthy, grounded scent that offers maximum relaxation. Similarly, people choose scents containing musk because it creates an alluring and intoxicating environment. These are traditional, sensual and earthy. Besides, it is quite long lasting. There are musk perfumes on the market which exude a subtle yet noticeable aroma even after 6 hours!
Yet another reason behind the popularity of this fragrance is that musk is suitable for almost all occasions. Parties, weddings, small get-togethers- you name it! Because of this, musk is infused into scents containing other fragrance notes to diffuse the high notes (more on notes in a bit!) of those individual fragrances. Otherwise, the collective scent would just be too strong for comfort. Due to this, fragrance manufacturers regularly add musk into the agglomerate.
A bit ago, we talked about notes. What are they? Most of us know just two kind of notes: the written note and musical notes. What’s the connection between Arabian Perfume and notes? That’s what we’ll learn about next.
To develop a pleasant fragrance, the perfumer should have three fragrance notes: the top note, the middle note (or the heart note), and the base note. These notes have to be blended in properly to create an exceptional fragrance. The bottom note becomes noticeable only when the top note has evaporated, which takes time depending on how strong it is. Once this happens, the bottom note works with the middle note to create that unforgettably pleasant fragrance.
Notes are the fundamental building blocks of an Arabian Perfume and create the overall scent.
